OSINT Volunteers National

Responsibilities include:

  • Conduct structured reviews of publicly accessible digital footprints
  • Identify exposed personal data, doxxing risks, impersonation and account misuse
  • Assess privacy and safety risks in a survivor context
  • Avoiding actions that may alert perpetrators prior to safe intervention
  • Translate findings into clear, practical, and non-alarming guidance
  • Supporting survivor-led decision-making by presenting options
  • Identifying and escalating high-risk scenarios in line with organisational protocols
  • Contributing to the development of safe, repeatable workflows and playbooks
  • Participate in peer review processes to ensure quality, safety, and consistency

The person performing this role conducts ethical, survivor-led OSINT assessments to identify risks relating to exposed personal information, impersonation, account misuse, and online visibility. Volunteers provide practical, safety-focused guidance to help reduce harm and support informed decision-making within strict safeguarding protocols.
